Bahamas Guy Fawkes

We have certainly made contact with the Bahamas and are now having regular conversations with Nev Rolle, the Principal of St Andrew's School in Exuma. Modern technology means that as well as talking we can also see each other. That was great fun when Nev called me on 3rd November and told me that all the children had made a "Guy".

During our conversation Nev was watching the activities outside. Not to be left out I asked her to turn the camera around. The next thing I knew the webcam was handed out of the window and the children were coming and showing their Guys to me. It was wonderful to meet the children "live" and to see a little bit of the surroundings of the school. We hope that this is just the first of many such encounters and we are working on ways of the children in our schools taking part in this video conferencing. Watch out for developments over the next year!
