"People along The Way"

Holy Week 2010

As Holy Week again fell in term time, Christ the Servant and St Thomas the Martyr joined with our three church schools to follow the same journey "People along The Way".

The three schools followed a creative curriculum including a programme of learning, worship and fun to ensure that all the children experienced and enjoyed something very special during the week, as we looked at the story from the point of view of different eye witnesses. The children each had a "passport" to aid their travels and allow them to keep a diary.

Our week was as follows:-

Monday = Palm Sunday

Tuesday = Maundy Thursday

Wednesday = Good Friday

Thursdays = Easter Sunday

A Eucharist was celebrated in each school, with adults and children joining in a very moving re-enactment of the story.
