"God at work in our schools"

Schools Service 12th July 2009

Following the success of our first schools service in 2008 we decided to make this an annual event. This year the congregations of St Thomas the Martyr and Christ the Servant joined together at Christ the Servant church with children, staff and families from our three schools - Bishop Martin, St Thomas and Roby Mill. Our theme was "God at work in our schools".

Children from all three schools took part in the procession and led our prayers, revealing an altar frontal (see below) that had been made in three parts to represent the three sections of the prayers - Schools, Community and the World. The sermon slot was led by children from Bishop Martin who told us the story of the Rainbow Fish. (see below)
