Christ the Servant

40th Anniversary Year 2011

 

Christ the Servant Church was dedicated on Saturday 20th June 1970. It was a church plant from St Thomas the Martyr when Skelmersdale new town was being developed.

In 2010 we celebrated our 40th anniversary with a whole variety of events and special services. We also invited previous clergy who have ministered at Christ the Servant to come and preach. The programme of special events was as follows:-

Sunday 25th April – Celebrating Confirmations Service
Sunday 2nd May – Revd Michael Fry preached
Sunday 16th May – Walk from Christ the Servant to St Thomas the Martyr followed by a service and refreshments
Saturday 19th June – T’others Concert

Sunday 20th JUNE – ANNIVERSARY SERVICE followed by Anniversary lunch and Songs of Praise
