2009 Church "At Home" Day

We decided not to go away this year but to hold our day of reflection "at home". Mind you, we regretted that decision when the heating broke down the week before! But we are a hardy lot and would not be put off completely. On a very cold day in March we huddled together in our community room, with blankets, to review our "Shared Vision".

We started with a very moving DVD celebrating all that we had acheived over the previous year, since our away day in February 2008. We then discussed what the highlights had been and what we would like to do again, as well as making suggestions of how we could develop our ministry in the future.

In the afternoon our young people developed an act of worship which they led for the whole group to finish the day. It was obvious how much they had grown in confidence over the year and we fully supported the suggestion that they should plan and lead a youth service. More of that later.

Despite the cold it was a very enjoyable day and we continue to work together as we serve our community in faith and love. See the pictures here
