2008 Church Away Day

We have just attended an away day for the Church to help Janet in her new position, she has now been here around 4 months and is still learning new things all the time.  So an away day was planned to see what we can do within the Church to make things better.

We firstly started with the healthy Churches guide and looked at what we do well and what needs to change to make things better.  There was a lot of discussion and this was only the first part of the day and still everyone had enthusiasm.  The good thing that came out is that we all think the same and what we are good at and we we are not.

The children that attended also took part with crafts and even a new way of looking at parables in a new light!  I will never see the Good Samaritan in the same way again

We had a faith lunch where everyone brought an item to the table and I can't wait for the Summer picnic if this lunch is anything to go by!

It was a wonderful day and a lot came from it to help us in whatever direction we go.  It is a wonderful time to be in Church with all the community work that we are doing, it will be hard work, but I think that we are all looking forward to what the future has in store.
